Manchester based Podcast, The Plunge Podcast, to produce 24-hour livestream for the Special Olympics of New Hampshire, Dec. 18.
MANCHESTER, NH (10/1/2020) – The Plunge Podcast will be producing a livestream event to raise money for the Special Olympics of New Hampshire.
“We’re excited to see the incredible amount of support this time around and hopeful that we can
increase the amount raised from last year.” said Riley Trudel, cohost of The Plunge Podcast.
The Plunge Podcast raised over $1500 in the first annual, “Plunging for a Cause”, with a variety of activities including spreading peanut butter on the cohosts and doing the Penguin Plunge.
The Plunge Podcast will be hosting the livestream starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020 EST and ending at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020 EST. The event features multiple podcasters, live music, and information about the Special Olympics of New Hampshire.
The Special Olympics of New Hampshire celebrates 50 years of being founded and aims to use the power of sports to help over 40,000 New Hampshire residents with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths, skills, build confidence, and find joy.

Manchester based podcast, The Plunge Podcast, raised over $5000 for the Special Olympics of New Hampshire.
MANCHESTER, NH (12/19/2020) – The Plunge Podcast hosted the livestream started at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020 EST and ended at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020 EST. The livestream ended early for precautionary COVID-19 related concerns.
After 17 hours of livestreaming, the online community donated triple the amount of money from last year. The Plunge Podcast raised over $1500 in the first annual, “Plunging for a Cause”, with a variety of activities including spreading peanut butter on the cohosts and doing the Penguin Plunge in the Atlantic Ocean. The second annual, “Plunging for a Cause” included multiple podcasts groups, live music, multiple raffle giveaways, and games. Donations for the Special Olympics of New Hampshire will remain open until the February 2021 Penguin Plunge with 100% of all donations going directly to the SONH.
